Have you ever seen an RV on the ferry?

We had planned to drive around the Puget Sound to get to John's friend's house in Edmonds, Washington. GPS took us the fastest way which was the Bremerton Ferry. We weren't planning on a ferry ride. Thankfully, the guy at the toll booth didn't even flinch when he saw our 35' RV with a tow vehicle. For a small fortune, we decided to take the ferry. Luckily, John was able to park at the front of the line. We walked over to the Blueberry Festival at the dock. The kids were super grumpy so I took them back to the RV and John got lunch for us. Driving the RV onto the ferry was an experience!

The ferry ride was about an hour. Great view of the mountains and the Seattle skyline.

John drives that RV like a boss and manuevered the narrow, hilly streets of Seattle. We only got beeped at once. A short drive later and we were at the Anderson's house. Free wifi, partial hookups and friends to play with... the boys were in heaven!

The next day they took us to the beach (super cold water) and we saw a harbor seal. Lunch at the pier and a quick stop to pick up their crab traps made for a fun day for the kids.

Tuesday we went to the Family Fun Center with the Andersons for an early birthday for Aiden. He really wanted to play Laser Tag for his birthday and he got his wish. Pizza, video games and cake later made four little kiddos quite happy!

We said goodbye the following morning and headed east towards North Cascades National Park.

Holidays with Family were amazing!!

Most holidays on Oahu we spent alone because it was simply too far for family to come visit for the major holidays. One of our main reasons ...
